About this workshop
Most AI training either sells the hype or warns you off. This one does neither. You’ll learn what’s really happening behind the prompt, practise on realistic data tasks, and leave with your own working agreement for using AI at work.
Who it's for
Analysts, statisticians, researchers and their managers. No coding needed, though R and Python users will get extra out of the coding exercises.
What you'll need
A laptop with a browser and access to at least one AI assistant. Setup notes arrive a week before.
You'll leave able to
- Explain how large language models produce answers, and why they get things wrong
- Write prompts that get reliable, checkable results for analysis tasks
- Use AI to help write and review code without handing over your judgement
- Spot where bias, privacy and data protection risks come in
- Decide when AI is the wrong tool for the job
